Jonas Köhler
I am a Ph.D. student in the Relastro group of the Institute for theoretical physics at the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main.
After a bachelor in experimental physics I switched to numerical astrophysics, since the part I enjoyed most for my thesis was the programming near the end.
For my master thesis I worked on the blazar OJ287, conducting the first numerical GRHD simulation of the system, the results are currently in preparation for publication.
For my Ph.D. I work inside the EHT collaboration, which I joined in June 2019. There I try to create a pipeline from GRMHD simulations to synthetic images.
My research interests are GRMHD simulations of astrophysical objects and raytracing.
