Konrad Topolski
I am a PhD student in the Relativistic Astrophysics group of Prof. Dr. Rezzolla at Goethe University Frankfurt, employed as a member of the ELEMENTS project.
The primary subject of focus in my work is an investigation into the traces that phase transitions leave in the GW and EM signals in binary neutron star mergers.
I am also interested in:
- the evolution of mixed binary systems (BHNS) with an emphasis on investigating marginal tidal disruption events
- the initial value problem in GR and the schemes employed to solve the constraint equations
- the mathematical foundations of numerical relativity and numerical implementations of various evolutions schemes and gauge conditions
- data visualization and simulation post-analysis
